June 14, 2014 a team of 16 CVMM masters swimmers claimed the So Cal Cup Masters Team Championship. It was an exciting weekend swimming on the USA Swimming National Championship Course at Castaic Lake with the top USA Open water swimmers.  Sixteen masters competed in the 1 mile, 4 swimmers did the double of the l and 2 mile courses and two swimmers did the 1 mile and 500 meter double.  CVMM swimmers claimed 11 first place age group titles, the overall womens award in the 2 mile Heidi Christensen, the overall winner of the 500 meter men and women Becky Cleavenger and the Masters Team Championship Award. CVMM open water masters swimmers continue to be one the top open water competitive teams in the Nation!
