CVMM TRI-4-TOM!
Our team will be racing in honor of Tom C. at the Malibu Triathlon on Sept 11 and 12, 2010. We all have been training so hard this year and one member of our team has been missing since May. For those of you who do not know, Tom suffered a heart attack last May during morning swim practice. He is working hard to overcome the effects of his trauma. Due to the heart attack occurring in the pool Tom suffered brain injury. Tom is a treasured member of the Conejo Valley Multisport Team and is missed by all who know him. Tom was in the process of training again this year for the Nautica Malibu Triathlon after completing his first Triathlon last year at Malibu. Toms' friends and family say he was so happy with his new found community in the sport of triathlon.
In order to show our support of Tom we will be distributing wrist bands that say "Tri-4-Tom". They will be available on Thursday ,Friday, Saturday and Sunday for all racers. Please contact CVMM coaches if you have any questions.
